- Chris Brown
After arriving from New York in 1992, Chris has been one of the most sought-after jazz drummers in the South. He has recorded and played with many great musicians while in Nashville. Chris's first professional big band gig was with the Maynard Ferguson Band, and he has also played with Don Grolnick. A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Chris graduated from North Texas State with a Bachelors of Music degree in Jazz Studies. Besides being one of Nashville's top session drummers, Chris tours with Sam Bush and performs regularly with the Beegie Adair Trio.
- Denis Solee
Multi-reed player/saxophonist Denis Solee has lived in Nashville since 1974. Interested and skilled in all types of music, he has played in military bands, symphony orchestras, Broadway shows, big bands, and small groups. He has appeared on radio, TV, films, and recordings for artists from Ray Stevens to Ray Charles; Mel Tillis to Mel Torme; Louis Bellson, Sammy Davis, Jr., Sarah Vaughn, Amy Grant, Liberace, Aretha Franklin.... and the list goes on. While he makes a living playing virtually all types of music, Denis in the last few years has focused more on his major interest: big bands and small jazz ensembles. Denis has 4 of his own albums on the Green Hills Music label and just recently released his newest CD - "Sinatra on Sax" for Village Square Music. Denis teaches ensembles at The Nashville Jazz Workshop, and is responsible for the transcriptions and arrangements performed by these ensembles.
- George Tidwell
Where do I even start with this man? He's a phenominal musician, arranger and one of the dearest people in the entire world. Without hesitation, George agreed to play on Make Someone Happy and it felt like a million butterflies were inside of me. I was so deeply honored (and nervous, taboot!) that he would play on my album. Now, he is a very dear friend and I'm profoundly proud that he's a Dream Teamer.
Did I mention he's also insanely humble? Google George Tidwell and check out some of the cats this man has worked with! He wouldn't give me a bio, so I had to gush all over him myself. Much love to you, GT!
- Roy Agee
Roy is also featured on my debut album. He's not only a killer musician, he's one of the funniest and dearest people I've ever met. If you ever have a chance to see Roy live, you must go!
